I am sorry to say that I started this post many, many days ago and never finished...so here it is!
The Friday before last, we playing in the snow. Sad to say but it was a first for us. We got Ben all duded up in boots, snow pants, jacket, hat, scarf and mittens. He totally reminded me of the little boy from a Christmas Story. He had fun helping Daddy shovel the drive way but especially loved walking around the culdesac and down the street.
We headed to Choo Choo Bob's train store Saturday morning and had a BLAST! For the past few months Ben has been in LOVE with Thomas the Train and Chuggington so this was right up his alley!! And boy was it ever!! At the front of the store there were the electric Lionel trains and wouldn't you know, there was Thomas leading the pack! Ben's eyes were like saucers as he watched the trains go round and round the track.
There were probably 15-20 kids there (there was a birthday party going on so I am not sure if it is always this busy but everyone got along). There were enough little trains for everyone to play with and enough room at each of the tables that there was no fighting or pushing. Ben's favorite table was one that had a collaspable bridge. He thought that it was great fun when he lined the trains up on the bridge, he'd hit the red button and they'd all fall. It gave Chad and I great ideas of how to set up our train table.
